Never, ever give up

Posted November 15th, 2011 in Community, IBW Updates by Tyler
slimmity-thumb Don’t ever give up on what you want to do. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it and there wouldn’t be a reward when you achieve what you’re going after. I am currently reading up on a man that had big dreams, but didn’t even know where to start. He took lessons he learned from his high school football coach and applied them to the rest of his life to become a billionaire. His coach taught him to focus on his strengths instead of his… Read the rest

Warren Buffett on fixing Congress

Posted November 2nd, 2011 in Community, IBW Updates by Tyler
slimmity-thumb Let me start off by stating that I am not a big Warren Buffett fan. I wouldn’t kneel at his presence. He has done well for himself, but I certainly don’t agree with everything he says or does. This however is a very good point and I wanted to share it with you. Talking about something doesn’t do much, but by thinking about it and then discussing it, I hope action will happen. So, here is his plan: “I could end the deficit in 5 minutes,” he told CNBC. &#… Read the rest

Friday follow up

Posted November 1st, 2011 in Community, IBW Updates by Tyler
slimmity-thumb Just wanted to include a short follow up to my last post. The person I contacted on Friday responded. We Skyped for hours last night and got caught up on the last 3 years. That just goes to show you that you never know. If you have been thinking of reconnecting with an old friend or anything else, but are holding yourself back, you should just go for it. It is the toughest things in life that reap the biggest rewards. Tyler

Reach out

Posted October 28th, 2011 in Uncategorized by Tyler
slimmity-thumb I just reached out to someone literally not more than 2 minutes ago who I havn’t spoken to in more than 3 years. That person used to be a major part of my life. We were business partners and we worked very hard to create something that is still enjoying great success today. The problem is that he is the key to the success, I was just a replaceable part of it and our relationship went sour. I was very very angry when our business relationship came to an abrupt… Read the rest

Honesty

Posted October 5th, 2011 in Community, IBW Updates by Tyler
slimmity-thumb They say honesty is the best policy, well, I am going to be honest. I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m no brilliant business man, I’m not a tech genius, I’m not a suave salesman,  I certainly am not a poetic writer or great creator of content, and I don’t have any of the “skills” that it takes to be successful. I look up to people who have the skills that I don’t. I look up the small business owners who had the guts to start something from no… Read the rest

Things do happen, but it takes time

Posted October 3rd, 2011 in Community, IBW Updates by Tyler
slimmity-thumb When you’re starting a business it can get very discouraging when trying to actually conduct business. Cold calling, walking into people’s offices and pitching them. You’re unknown. Your business is unknown. Why are you better? I already use someone. Your idea is not impressive. It’s tough. But if you keep on focusing on simply getting the word out, you’ll be amazed once you start getting calls from people ready to d… Read the rest

The New World

Posted September 19th, 2011 in Community, IBW Updates by Tyler
slimmity-thumb Imagine what the world would be like if we shopped locally. Communities would be alive and well. They would thrive. People would be happy. They’d enjoy their life more. Their job would be more fulfilling to them and they would be happier. That would rub off to others and we’d all be happier. You would know people. You’d feel connected to life. You’d have a positive impact on lives. You would be taken care of because you are known and the people that you do busi… Read the rest

Fashion

Posted September 16th, 2011 in Community, IBW Updates by Tyler
slimmity-thumb What do you think of when you see the word “fashion”? Models walking down the runway in ridiculous clothes that you would never wear even if they were affordable? We have to wear clothes. Society doesn’t like nudity. And at this time of year, you’d plain be uncomfortable. Certain things also shrink in cold air. I recently got called out on my “too casual” look and it made me a little frustrated. I try to wear clothes that are comfortable, but I definitely don… Read the rest

How to get things done

Posted September 8th, 2011 in Community, IBW Updates by Tyler
slimmity-thumb Be happy! It’s that simple. If you’re happy, then you’re stimulating your mind. By stimulating your mind, you think, your create and you get things done. You move toward your goals. So, if you want to move forward with your ideas and or plans then you need to be happy.
